Guided tours of the West Cave Preserve offer nature-lovers the chance to explore the unique, dual ecosystem of this lovely, 30-acre preserve. Offering grasslands bordering a magnificent, limestone canyon, the preserve invites visitors to behold its magnificent caves, stunning, 40-foot waterfall and alluring emerald pool surrounded by lush fern. For bird-watchers, West Cave is a great place to catch a glimpse of the illusive, Golden Cheeked Warbler. Located 45 minutes from downtown Austin, the preserve lies10 miles east of the town of Round Mountain.
